Goal
We want the Student Filmmaker Bootcamp to be available to every student regardless of economic status. To that end, we are soliciting donations and sponsorships from businesses, organizations, and individuals. Scroll down to see all of our generous donors.
What Does Your Funding Cover?
- The venue (ArtSpace Lima, from July 6-16)
- Stipends for 10 Lima staff members including 5 educator “Department Head” mentors (retired and current educators) and a staff of Val Conrad, Curriculum Director and 3 Lima-area, recent college grads as tech coordinators
- Travel & preparation expenses for several guest Artists-In-Residence;
- Production and post production equipment and art, educational and technical materials expenses:
- Snacks for kids and staff;
- Fees for local professional media professionals in editing and delivering broadcast quality public service content in collaboration with the students, to be submitted to Hometown stations.
- Some basic marketing costs, legal and accounting expenses and minimal foundation expenses
- A “gala premier” open to the public on July 30 at Shawnee Community United Methodist Church
- Surplus funds go to additional behind-the-scenes content and additional PSAs for Hometown Stations & Time Warner Cable – plus an extension of the SIAFB as an ongoing after-school program.
